It was the Mountaineers who scored first just over 20 minutes into the game, as Sarah Murphy intercepted an errant Terrapin clear and drove a shot from the top of the box. The shot sailed just wide of Rachel Egyedd’s outstretched hands and into the corner of the net.

The Terps answered just 12 minutes later, however, as Mikayla Dayes played a dangerous ball into the six-yard box. App State’s Kristin Brown attempted to clear the ball, but accidently put it in her own net to square the game, 1-1.
Maryland took control of the game after the halftime break, outshooting the Mountaineers, 8-4, in the frame.
Harmon was the beneficiary of a tremendous buildup through the midfield, when Sydey Staier played a beautiful ball down the wing to Hope Lewandoski. Lewandoski found Mikayla Dayes for the shot at the top of the box, and Harmon finished a juicy rebound by the goalie.
