The Maryland women’s basketball team announced its complete 2018-19 schedule Tuesday, including Big Ten home and away matchups and dates.
The Terrapins’ nonconference schedule is highlighted by matchups with 2017 NCAA Champion South Carolina, NCAA Tournament Team Georgia and ACC opponent Georgia Tech. The Terps travel to Columbia, S.C. to face the Gamecocks on Sunday, Nov. 18. Maryland will travel to San Juan to play in the Puerto Rico Clasico Tournament over Thanksgiving, then host the Yellow Jackets in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
In Big Ten Conference play, Maryland will host Michigan, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Minnesota. The Terrapins will compete in home/away matchups with Ohio State, Rutgers, Penn State, Nebraska and Illinois. Maryland has appeared in four straight Big Ten championship games and won three straight titles in 2015, 2016, 2017.
The Terps open Big Ten play on the road at Penn State on Friday, Dec. 28, then return home to host Rutgers on New Years Eve. Maryland will host Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State in three straight weekend contests at home at the XFINITY Center.
The Terrapins wind down the regular season with a Thursday home game vs. Minnesota on Feb. 25, then a matchup at Purdue on Monday, Feb. 25. They will host Illinois for Senior Day on Saturday, March 2, when they will honor senior Brianna Fraser.

This year, Maryland welcomes the No. 4 freshman class in the country, featuring Shakira Austin, Taylor Mikesell and Olivia Owens, as well as junior transfer Sara Vujacic.
The Terrapins earned an overall record of 26-8 last season and advanced to their fourth straight Big Ten championship game and NCAA Second Round. The Terps return four starters. Charles earned All-Big Ten First Team and WBCA All-Region honors.
